This was maybe the craziest room in the crazy house. We call it the Bordello Room. When I bought the house it had teal wallpaper made to look like draped fabric. Former owner had matching fabric on the furniture and the wood tables were painted with leopard spots. Uh huh. For real. Don't believe me? Here's proof:
So, we covered the walls with sunny yellow and painted all the chocolate brown woodwork crisp white - fireplace mantle included. Used blue as an accent and went for a fun beachy look. It's a warm cheery room now we use as our guest bedroom.

Taking it outside
I have discovered the best stress reliever: power washing. Ok, you get filthy, soaking wet and exhausted but it's one of the most satisfying projects ever. I power washed for about 6 1/2 hours straight and got the two entrance areas/porches, the whole wood fence and the stone wall out front. I hadn't realized how dirty 101 Upham was!

Bathroom - check!
Aaaaaannnnd DONE! Looks amazing - love my contractor. Photos are missing the glass shower wall but you get the picture. Carrera marble subway tile on shower walls, Carrera marble basketweave tile on the floor, strip of gray glass 1x2 tiles as accent on shower wall. It looks and feels amazing. LOVE it!
